My Wish
Aug 30th
My wish…
Like everyone on the internet i too wish to get paid for blogging and doing almost nothing but that’s been unrealistic.
First reason why is i don’t have that much free times to do it and i rather spend all my free times not overworking myself over content. When i say not overworking myself is forcing myself to write something even thought i didn’t find anything new that could interest people.
The realistic wish is been sponsorised. Not earn money throught ads or anything like that…Most of the money i spend is on electronics because i like technology but many products i cannot try or won’t try because i don’t have an actual use for it.
So when i say been sponsorised i mean that some corporation send me electronics gadgets ask me to test them and i write about it. The fun part in this is im not a “University top knowledge student” i’m an average person with an average knowledge so if i was to be sponsorised people would come here see reviews on products without all the technical Break your brain Benchmark and instead would simply see what they would have seen if they used it.
Throught this you earn visitors, people learn about new products, compagnys promote products, you get free products, and you earn money with a small unobstrusive ads by google.
You don’t earn thousands of bucks but at least you might actually get a products that you wanted and that your allow to keep.
This is my wish,if some corporation out there hear my wish and want to make one happy man at the same time than getting feedbacks over they products please select me!
Yeah well at least i try….

Cuil Web 2.0

Mozilla Engine
Aug 24th
Mozilla Foundation have been around for 10 years. They goal is to promote opensource software. Even thought they claim they are non-profit they still earn a lot of money from Google with every search made by users using firefox browser.
In this page i list most of the Mozilla applications that are been developped and that i have tryed in the past. Most of them are still been used by me thought. I will also list some applications based off mozilla but that aren’t opensource or from the mozilla foundation.
Let’s start with the Browsers stuff.
Mozilla Firefox
First of all i must say even the icon is appealing isn’t that cute? Anyway firefox is not only cute but is also heavily modifiable with Addons Module. Your a blog writer you have multiple blogs? Then use the extension scribefire. You want to keep track of your bookmarks online? Then use the del.icio.us addons. ( They are many others but del.icio.us is the most known )
With the new firefox 3.0 and up releases firefox have a smart query inside the navigation box if you input the name of a site that u already visited he will list similar sites with the name in the url or the title of that page. ( see below )
The browser offer security , anti-popup , themes , addons , extension and whats even more cool it runs on every Operating system. Mac windows or Linux :) In many different languages you can see for yourself here.
You can also get more details about the feature here.
Let me say flock is a copy of Firefox BUT heavily modify.
Flock is based on social and blogging and i must say it’s really awesome not only does it support most of the addons for firefox but it also outclass many of them for example the del.icio.us addon is useless under Flock you also don’t need to install a image uploader addons to social sites.
Flock make a priorities of Yahoo services instead of Google. Even thought Google have most of the awesomes services FlickR and MyBlogLog are owned by Yahoo.
What flock does?
People sidebar including social services like…
- Digg
- Youtube
- FlickR
- Pownce
- Myspace
Media Uploader allowing pictures upload to those services…
- FlickR
- Picasa
- PhotoBucket
Blog Editor allowing you to Publish to blog services like…
- Xanga
- Wordpress.com
- Blogger/Blogspot
- LiveJournal
- TypePad
- Blogsome
- Self Hosted blogs…
Media Mini-Bar allow you to see pictures feeds of your friends on many services and make them in your favorites.
Web Clipboard allow you to copy content from site for later use or to paste them in your blog editor to discuss about it.
Improved Feed Reader allow you to keep track of your favorites sites news.
Mail Reader allowing you to read mails from Gmail or Yahoo and get notified when new mails come.
Many mores including Synching of bookmarks online.
Flock is multi-platform also but not opensource. To have access to firefox3.0 features you have to download the beta version at the moment.
For Ubuntu users who don’t want to extract the archives but rather use a .deb go to getdeb.net
For other users you can check all the versions here.
http://www.seamonkey-project.org/
if firefox is the Stand alone for individual Seamonkey is the corporative version but still free. Seamonkey include Addons on most of is suite software.
Seamonkey Navigator include

Seamonkey Composer
SeaMonkey’s powerful yet simple HTML editor keeps getting better with dynamic image and table resizing, quick insert and delete of table cells, improved CSS support, and support for positioned layers. For all your documents and website projects, Composer is all you need.
Seamonkey IRC chat
Chatzilla client that is integrated inside the seamonkey suite allow you to connect to irc servers receive files and much more.
Seamonkey was the one i was using in firefox early days i enjoy more the use of Thunderbird and Firefox combined together than this suit. Instead of Chatzilla i use Irssi but anyway thats my choice you might like Seamonkey i noticed a faster speed on it than firefox.
Seamonkey is also developped by Mozilla Foundation and is also opensource which allow you to grab the source code and even more.
It’s also Multiplatform you can see it here.
Songbird
Songbird the next generation Browser and Media Player!

I'm inside Darkness…
Aug 23rd
Did you look around the internet? I did. What i saw is blogs about money to make money and those are the most solicited ones… Isn’t it ironic? I stand in the darkness because this site is not well known like it’s predecessor. I remember getting tons of hits daily and hourly just by typing random crap on my website. I even got visitors for humiliating a random guy i meet in the street or saw online. But now that i try to introduce a certain amount of intelligence inside my blog instead of random thoughts about my life… no one.
Then i should start writing back about my life no? Unfortunately not… I was been too deep in my writings that the people knew everything of my public behavior. Plus my life isn’t as exciting as back then, im more like Angered by every stupid things i see nowadays that were my behaviour of the past.
Reality kick in really bad…
I want to go back at school and studys to get better jobs… But can’t because life is costy and my parents cannot help like most of my friends.
I want to change job and search for a better one…. But i can’t because my workshift won’t allow me to and missing a day won’t help even thought i did it many times for interviews they never called back when i was really motivated for the job.
I want to earn money online… but then again everyone does? In the past when that money wasn’t really needed i was earning a lot.. now that i need it i don’t. Sad part about been young is been irresponsible with our money gestion.
I have ideas and stuff i want to add… yet not the knowledge to make them myself.
I want to do product reviews… still waiting for a new computer and in a way obligated to go back to windows. Not that i hate windows i like XP but my present comp is so burn down that only Linux can play nicely with those burndown harddrives.
I want to share stuff…. But they violate many rules and take a huge amount of ressource if uploaded. For example i wanted to do a anime portal but my isp limit is 100GB per mount up and down now so i cannot upload every latest release.
Also free upload sites as megaupload have limits of stocking when a free user so you have to reupload untook files after a while leaving you with even more work.
When you serve files people never comment a “Thanks” when it works. Thought if it don’t everyone will go like “FIX IT FIX IT!!” or even use they badmouthed side to communicate with you.
Use social sites for advantage? I barelly have time to see my girlfriend do you think i can waste hours of implication on such things…
So now the real question is: Why i keep my site up?
First reason i prepaid for 10years of hosting. When i have free time instead of just chatting and enjoy the chat i often try to help people but since most people aren’t advance users on the internet they need imaging and visual aid. Which is why a website is good. Then again i could have used a free service but that wouldn’t count as my work in a way. The main reason why i keep it is to have a corner of the internet who belong to me a place where i can do whatever i want or im able to do without a Compagny behind setting limits and much more.
Even now i think im giving myself limits by placing this much ads on my site 2 Google Adsense Ads what they do? Almost NOTHING. To bring even more reality i wanted to show you the pennys income it gave since a month or two but then again when i came to login on my account they told me the adsense site is under maintenance and cannot be accessed.
Pessimist: « Life is like a cake filled with shit and everydays you have to take a bite at it »
Optimistic : « Life is like a cake filled with shit and everydays you gotta skip the dessert! »
Yeah basically another random nonsense of mine before the end of this post.
